Leopard on Tree Top – one of the most awaited shot. I got it this weekend from Bandipur unexpectedly. I have visited Kabini (which is the most famous destination for leopards in South India) lot of times to get a shot like this. I have seen leopards in Kabini, but wasn’t lucky enough to get a clean shot.
This weekend I had a plan to go to Bandipur and Ooty; but didn’t want to stay at Bandipur and have the long 3 hours jeep Safari. I thought to go with the normal bus safari which is very cheap comparatively. What a lucky day; within after 15 minutes of the safari, we spotted a Leopard on the tree top; that too with a kill. Wow; it was totally unexpected. It was around 15 meters away and was there for at least 10 minutes. I could able to make some decent snaps though it was back light.
